Re: New features in the upcoming ECU+ firmware/software v2.1
I am finally far enough along.. Turns out the hardware I am using is quite similar to the ECUPlus if you want to share any info (privately or otherwise) I don't have the DSP tools, but I have been working with CPLD's, FPG's, AVR and PIC MCU's My reference design relies on an SRAM in parallel as a ci...

Re: New features in the upcoming ECU+ firmware/software v2.1
Very cool. I have a bit more work to do before I will want to try to decode and capture the stream. But I definitely want to be able to view the data in realtime at the very least, I would also like to store compatible files that can be opened in the ecu+ software. Possibly be able to put together s...

Re: New features in the upcoming ECU+ firmware/software v2.1
Would you ever consider Open sourcing the software/firmware to allow the community to help you continue to support it?
I would be interested in the data stream protocol. I still use my ECU+ but in this day and age, I would like to use a tablet to tune my car. Or have a standalone data logger

Re: Gear logging
I think you can log Clutch Switch also, you can then multiply by the state of the clutch switch and you'll be able to tell when its depressed.

Re: AEM EMS back to Ecuplus...
I just noticed your adding support for the Challenger SRT8?? I am planning on buying a Magnum SRT8 in the near future. PM me details, I have a 2005 Durango now. And yes, I still have the Evo, it still runs the ECU+ and I wouldn't choose any different. I need updated firmware :), After 2+ years I fin...

This reminds me of the old question.. Whats the difference between accuracy and precision.. Sometimes too much precision just clouds your data, but accuracy is always important.. Not to mention there are plenty of occasions where the values are precise, but not accurate (space shuttle o-rings for ex...

Two questions, did you get a chance to rewrite the firmware reflash tool to work properly with USB Com ports and ports over 4? Thats a big deal since I don't think I have a machine with a standard com port anymore. Also, did you add any sort of boost control yet? Or will I have to put the AVC-R back...

Interesting.. The ECU+ is a piggyback so as long as the stock ECU is functioning properly your okay.. as far as I know, its possible to start and the car will idle (not sure how well) with the MAF harness disconnected, its possible your ECU+ head was set for an alternate MAF, but even if it wasnt, i...

I've gotten far enough along to discover that using a custom device isn't cost effective.. However another option turned up that I PM'ed Tom about that may actually work pretty well. Oh and Ultra-Mobile PC's or in-dash LCD's with mini-ITX PC's are also a good alternative for those really dedicated t...
