Re: 1G Maf limit > 1603hz

The MAF isn't imited to 1603, just the MUT logger can't dispaly more than 1603. Since ECU Plus' Maf Hz comes directly from the airlfow meter you won't have the 1603 limitation.

ECU Plus for other patforms?

Tom, I have recently been tuning some other types Of cars using other piggy backs, namely the F/IC and the E-Manage and I have to say the ECU Plus beats them in all aspects hands down. The features, software interface and the tech support are far above those guys. And to think that you are a one man...

Re: need help

Tom,

I have a silver box that I bought used 2.5yrs ago that I have never been able to communicate with. I want to try this but I don't know what firmware was on it. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Fuel Pump

It should be fairly simple to do as long as the ECUPlus has the available hardware. The ECU triggers the pump by grounding one side of the fuel pump relay coil. If the ECU plus had a a wire that spliced into the fuel pump wire all it would need to do is ground that wire. Since the relay is there, cu...

Re: Populating a RPM vs. Load MAP

Tom,

What you proposed should work fine. Sorry for the late response. I have been busy with some other stuff and haven't logged in for a while.

Regards,

Marcus

Right.

Tom
But how does it do it more specifically. For example if the load and rpm fall between cell points, how do you determien which cell to highlight?

Okay Tom, a first stab: Ok - that's a pretty reasonable way to do it. Here's some thoughts: 1. You want to update an existing stock ROM map, right, rather than creating a new one? So, this'd just be a modification of a given map, so I could add a menu item to the right-click menu for each ROM map. ...

Tom, can you tell me how the ECU Plus determines the correct cell in the Fuel/Timing map (the stock ECU map) when doing map tracing?

Okay Tom, a first stab: It could be implemented in a similar fashion to the dyno analysis. You have a chart icon in the top menu and a chart subheading under analyze when you right click. It would be an analysis tool that you use after logging and saving your capture and not something that would be ...

Okay, this is something I really want so I will sit down and see if I can make a stab at answering your questions. Give me a few days to think about it.

Populating a RPM vs. Load MAP

Tom, Since the ECU Plus can do MAP tracing plus log a bunch of sensors, would it be possible for it to populate a table of rpm vs. load with a logged value. I would mainly want this for AFR, but it may be useful for other things, such as boost and timing. For example, I log AFR and then populate the...

With this feature, is there any need for the piggyback timing and fuel control?
