Timing Scale question, and injector report

Alright I got my 750cc injectors in and the car idles great. I didn't really have any trouble with it besides starting off to rich.

My scale started at 35 34 33 32
34 33 32 31

So on so forth, once I dropped those numbers by 10 starting with 25 24 23 22
24 23 22 21
my idle smoothed out and the car runs perfect, I am not even using idle smoothing and the mass holds steady at 38 output with no jumping at all. WEIRD but good (FIC 750's for the record)

Anyway, can someone give me a base to what I do with timing?
Do I subtract is across the board as an equal integer IE -1 -1 -1 -1
-1 -1 -1 -1

or do it like my fuel scale -10 -9 -8 -7

Or backwards from high rpm to low -4 -5 -6 -7

Could someone show me an example of how they did it and possible suggest a scale for me?

I have 880's and I really don't mess with the idle settings besides adding/subtracting fuel to get the idle at a certain rpm. Timing at idle is really the last thing I would ever be concerned about. Why do you need to mess with it if it already idles fine? You would laugh if you saw how simple my timing map is; the only part of my timing maps that have adjustments are high and wot.

thats the thing, I am new to tuning (obviously) and I wasn't sure what to do with the timing. What did you set your high and wot timing to? I wasn't just asking about idle, I was trying to get an idea of where to start. I wasn't sure if it was going to be scaled like the fuel maps or individually tuned. Any help would be appreciated! Or if you just want to give me a capture so I can see your settings you wouldn't have to spell it out for me.

Seriously could SOMEONE, ANYONE post a log of a car that runs right with the timing modified. PLEASE I beg you. This is a lot harder than it should be because I want to get things right. You don't need to spell it out for me, just post your log, I will look at it and it will give me a place to start. Thank you!

Start off with zero timing changes throughout the timing map. At non-WOT, there's probably no point in fiddling with it. At WOT, start off by decreasing your timing values (negative numbers) at the top of the RPM range and gradually working their way back down to zero at low RPMs. Start at -8 or so at the top. Then when you start tuning your car for WOT, you should try increasing timing across the board and see where knock starts showing up. In general, you want to avoid knock, so when you start to see knock, back off the timing by a degree or two and then you're done. Most folks find that increasing timing up to where knock shows up gives you some more power.

Thanks Tom, Honki also sent me a a timing map. I appreciate both of your help. I believe I have that set properly now.

When you emailed me about ~15:1AFR I hope you were talking about cruise AFR, yes? That timing map is for my evo w/ mods listed at my website on 93 octane for ~23-26psi (~280 load column), and ~11.2:1AFR WOT/15.7:1AFR CRUISE.

yeah that was for low and medium load driving. High and WOT afr is abour 12.
