cant get my zeitronix 3.5 bar map to read right.i did custom map setup.
50 PSI MAP
0.5V 0 PSI ABSOLUTE
4.5V 50 PSI ABSOLUTE

with key off i get .90ish volts.

Try using the volts-to-PSI values as listed, and then hitting the "zero boost" button. If that's off - in what way is it off?

way off as in ecu plus reads boost while car is at idle.

Hmm. Zero boost with the car off, and then boost at idle sounds kinda fishy. Maybe log the voltage instead of the PSI and see what voltages the sensor is generating to see if there's any correlation between what you have and what you expect.

Is it possible for the mapsenor to just give readings like that if its bad or would it just not give you a reading at all?

I don't really know. With the GM sensor, I have had a case where the sensor was bad and just plain didn't put out the right voltage. To test it, I hooked up a power supply and a voltmeter, then used a vacuum/pressure gauge to apply different pressures. The numbers were all over the map. That's why I'd suggest using a custom setting: 0 volts=0 PSI, 5 volts = 5 PSI. That will basically display the sensor voltage. See if there's any correlation to reality.

As a last resort, if you think it might be the ECU+, you can try hooking the MAP sensor to one of the spare analog inputs and logging voltage there. Those inputs are electrically identical to the MAP sensor input.
