P0300 Screenshots

Postby KevOVIII » Tue Jan 22, 2008 8:17 pm

The light has come on since basically day 1 of the ECU+ install. Never got around to getting screen shots because the laptop ran on Win 98 with no internet connection. I recently got a new laptop so had a chance to get some screen shots for Tom.

Here are two more.

The common thing I saw was 0 lbs/hr for MAS Air Flow and low TPS (foot off pedal).

It reads open loop because I did the MPG tune where at cruising speeds AFR is leaner than normal.

Pretty sure airflow shouldn't be 0.... Other than that I get it during the same conditions or at idle. I thought it went away after the EGR delete.... I was wrong.

Sorry to hear the EGR delete didn't work for you. I was hoping it would.

Is your air flow 0 too when the light trips? The car only seems to throw the code when I'm in stop/go traffic of driving through a parking lot (parking as well).

I'll catch the next freezeframe I get, I don't think I have any on this computer. I don't think I show 0 for airflow though... If I recall correctly I'm thinkin 13lb/hr ish? Next time I go out tuning and it throws the P0 I'll post it up. It did on Tuesday but I just erased it.

Sounds good. Thank you for sharing. :)

I'm having to erase the code almost every day.

Interesting screenshots. It kinda looks like deceleration, which I don't think I usually see. I want to get back to working on this issue in a few weeks, so maybe you guys can do some testing for me.

Okay, here is my P0300 freezeframe. Now, I reflashed the car w/ the newest ROM modifications last night (so I have switchable ECU maps, better NLTS, etc.) and I upped the idle a bit. The car idles great now and in the short warmup period hasn't thrown a code. I might get to drive it today and we'll see how the P0300 goes if so. So anyways, the P0300 screenshot is from my last flash with a lower idle and such. The idle screenshots are of the idle after my new flash yesterday.

Kev... after a quick comparision... I don't think it's normal that you have 0 for load and MAS airflow.... Also... do you have a IX? I noticed you have the extra parameter "manifold pressure".

I don't think it's normal either. I have an 05 VIII.

Here's the mod list:

The raised idle did not help. Here's another P0.

Here are two more. I put the MPG tune back in 080201.
