Yeah, that didn't look right but that's what the freeze frame displayed. I changed the baud rate for the MUT thing in EcuFlash so I don't know if that affects the numbers.

I've since removed the lean cruise flash because it didn't make a noticeable difference.

I think this happened when I restarted the car after 20-30 minutes of parking. Got a parking space that I didn't like so I moved the car.

I cleared the DTC last night before reflashing the car and wanted to get a log of the fuel trims after the car was relocated. Opened up the trouble codes screen in ECU+ and found this...

Started the car up and went to lunch without a problem. Started the car to leave the restaurant and up comes the light.

Re: P0300 Screenshots

OK, I recently installed some new mods so I'm still sort of dialing the injectors. I think they're pretty good, but I might tweak it some more. Here's the mods list with new mods that were installed (except for Kelford cams) at the bottom:

http://home.comcast.net/~y2kevse/evolution.html

My theory of why the P0300 code keeps popping up is because the car has a brief lean spot at about 2k. This usually occurs when:
- driving slowing while modulating the clutch at about 2k rpm (usually following slow traffic or in a parking lot)
- occasionally a warm start of the car (starting after driving/parking for at least 10 minutes) will put the AFR at around 16.0 for a little bit. Once the car moves, the AFR goes back to stoich.

I believe these two conditions set off the code. This morning, I drove to work then checked out the OBD info but saw no error codes (no pending as well). However going to lunch and coming back to work, I got a code.

Here are 3 screen shots (dates attached in file names)...

Also, I notice that MAS is always 0 when it happens. I just clamped the low value to 35 Hz to see if that helps with v2.10 beta 20.

I got this next one in the morning backing out from the driveway. AFR was stoich and timing was normal so I'm not sure what happened besides 0 for MAS. I've since changed the LTFT to 2% after a reflash. This is with v2.10 beta 20.

The most recent one I've had was at like 3200 cruising. I noticed it was like 41deg timing advance. I don't think high timing caused it but I think widely varying timing may have... so I smoothed out that area. I used to have as low as 20 and as high as 38. With as much as the ECU bounces around in that little load/rpm block during crusie I don't think it likese the variable timing. I raised the low areas and haven't seen increased knock at all and I didn't see any P0 from the 7 hrs the car was on the road last weekend.

Re: P0300 Screenshots

I don't know if its the same P0300 problem.

I did get some P0300 since last sunday. And i discoverd something on my logs. But i use a 95er dsm ecu.

MAS input (blue) and injector pulse width (Yellow) look always the same. mas goes up, injpw goes up, mas goes down, injpw goes down, and so on.

But when the P0300 happend injpw was only a line, not following mas anymore.
i could reproduce the behaving as often as i wanted. the car felt like knocking. or like defective ignition wires.

Engine must be full warmed up. never happened wenn cold.
And it happend only with very light throttel, never on higher.
And only between 2500 and 3000 rpm.

My theoretically solution:

The TPS sensor had the idle switch still activated on light throttle.
The ecu still thinks it must idle at idle speed (about 900) and cuts fuel.

I know evo's don't have idle switches anymore. german evo's don't have them,so usdm shouldn't have them too. but if you tps sensor is adjusted wrong the ecu can still think it is in idle (or should be).
I will adjust my tps sensor today the right way , i keep you informed.
