Coolant temp accuracy

Hey Tom,

How accurate would you say the coolant temp reading from the ECU is? Would you say your formula is solid? This is what evoscan users are using, but they are using a MUT input, as I'm sure you're using a sensor voltage input, right?

I'm having cooling issues and I need to know that I'm seeing very accurate coolant temps.

The ecu is very accurate. Compared with a autometer water temp gauges and it was right on.

I believe I use the same funky formula for the MUT-II coolant temperature reading. For the ECU+'s native reading, I use a simpler formula, but they should both be in the ballpark of right. I wouldn't necessarily depend on the exact number, but the sensor is certainly relatively correct (goes up as temperature goes up).
